The Call for Speakers for WordCamp Malaysia 2025 has officially wrapped, and we are blown away by the response. From seasoned developers and educators to creative entrepreneurs, community leaders, problem-solvers, and fresh new voices, you showed up big.

We’ve received submissions from across Malaysia and beyond, from Kuala Lumpur to Penang, Johor, and Sabah, all the way to neighboring countries across Asia and even Europe and the Americas. This truly reflects what makes WordCamp special: it’s a global event with a local heart.

Reading through this year’s proposals has been nothing short of inspiring. Speakers have explored topics that push the boundaries of creativity and technology, from AI-powered content workflows and accessibility in design to advanced development practices, security strategies, community building, and personal growth within open-source careers.
The diversity of ideas reflects the ever-evolving WordPress ecosystem, where every innovation opens a new door. Now comes the exciting and challenging part: selection. Our Speaker Review Team will carefully evaluate each submission to create a balanced and inclusive lineup that reflects both local talent and international perspectives.
It’s not about choosing “the best” in isolation but curating a program that connects ideas, encourages conversation, and celebrates collaboration.
If your proposal isn’t selected this time, please don’t be discouraged. WordCamp thrives because of its community, and there are many ways to stay involved attending sessions, volunteering, contributing to discussions, or simply being part of the WordPress family that makes this event special.
