Hey there, fellow WordPressers! We’re calling out for volunteers to join us and make WordCamp Malaysia an unforgettable experience. Just like how volunteers make WordCamps around the world happen, we need your help to make WordCamp Malaysia a success.

Why Volunteer with Us?

At WordCamp Malaysia, we want as many people as possible to join in. To make it happen, we’re keeping ticket prices low. When you volunteer, you’re helping us keep costs down and create a great event that’s accessible by everyone.

WordCamp Malaysia is put together by volunteers who work hard before and during the event. By pitching in, you’ll be a big part of making WordCamp Malaysia an amazing time for everyone.

Roles and Opportunities

We need volunteers to pitch in and make WordCamp Malaysia amazing! These roles are awaiting your participation:

• Photographer: Capture special moments with your camera
• Emcee: Be the friendly face that hosts and facilitates the event
• Floor Helper: Assist in organizing and managing the event area.

What You Get

Being a volunteer at WordCamp Malaysia has great perks. You don’t need to be a WordPress expert – everyone is welcome, even if you’ve never even built a website before! 

Being a volunteer makes you an important part of the global WordPress community, connecting you with people from around the world. This helps you grow in leadership, communication, organization, and teamwork. 

As a thank-you for your help, volunteers get a complimentary ticket to WordCamp Malaysia 2023. 

Code of Conduct

As a volunteer, you reflect the event’s friendly atmosphere. Hence, it’s important to follow our Code of Conduct, respect the WordPress trademark, and support the WordPress license. As a valued team member, we expect you to:

• Be considerate, respectful, helpful and collaborative
• Keep a positive attitude
• Review and abide by the Code of Conduct

Register as a Volunteer

When you sign up as a volunteer, you’re showing us that you’re ready to dedicate your time at WordCamp Malaysia 2023 to assist the Organising Team. We’ll count on you to be available for your volunteer tasks during the event.

Here’s how you can apply as a Volunteer:

2. Our team will review your application – volunteer slots are limited so we may not be able to accommodate everyone if there’s overwhelming response.
3. We’ll contact you via email for next steps.
