It’s our mission to have WordCamp Malaysia represent the passion, skill, and diversity of the Malaysian community, and we want you to be a part of it! We are looking for speakers to share their knowledge, expertise, experience, and stories at WordCamp Malaysia, happening 9th September 2023 at CNICC, Kuala Lumpur.

What topic should you apply with?
We welcome ALL topics related to WordPress and more, and we strongly encourage them. The charm of WordCamp, like the WordPress ecosystem, is to bring together everyone involved with WordPress, including developers, writers, designers, and more. We are looking for diverse topics and inspirational stories.
If you’re not sure what to talk about and need some ideas, below are some talk categories you may consider but you are more than welcome to apply outside these categories:
- Accessibility

How long should your presentation be?
We are planning the following formats for sessions. (TBD)
- Long talks – 30 minutes
- Lightning talks – 15 minutes or 5 minutes
What if you want to submit multiple proposals?
Please submit no more than 3 proposals if you can suggest multiple topics. That’s not required but will help your chances.
Which language should your talk be in?
All talks should be in English or Bahasa Melayu
Do you have to be an experienced speaker to apply?
You don’t necessarily have to be an experienced speaker. We would like to support new speakers to ensure that WordCamp Malaysia is diverse and representative of the latest Malaysian WordPress community. If you feel you need more experience, you can also consider speaking at city based WordPress meetups, which some of the organizers of WCMY are organizing.
Other things to know:
- Your talk should follow our code of conduct.
- Your presentation slides will be reviewed before the event.
- Your talk will be recorded and published on WordPress.tv after the event.
